About this consultation

The CRU has published a consultation on A Draft Risk Preparedness Plan for Ireland.

Regulation (EU) 2019/941 requires Member States to update their national electricity crisis scenarios, which are the basis of the Risk Preparedness Plan (RPP), every four years, unless circumstances requires more frequent updates. The revised final version of the first RPP was published by CRU in May 2023. We are now in the second cycle of the RPP, and the development of an updated draft has been prepared in accordance with Article 11 of the Regulation.

The purpose of this paper is to present the draft plan for comment to the relevant organisations referred to in Article 10(1), as well as any other interested parties. Any comments received will be considered for the preparation of the final RPP which is scheduled for publication in January 2026.

Please note that all responses will be published by CRU unless specifically marked as confidential. Where your responses include confidential information, please put the confidential information in a separate annex where possible.
